    Solar Panels

Solar panels, utilising photovoltaic (PV) technology, convert sunlight into electricity through semiconducting materials exhibiting the photovoltaic effect. Commonly installed on south-facing roofs, walls, or the ground, they can be fixed or equipped with solar trackers that follow the sun’s path to maximise efficiency. Solar panels provide a clean, pollution-free energy source and can significantly reduce energy bills through feed-in tariffs by selling excess electricity to energy suppliers.

Solar panels produce direct current (DC) electricity, which is converted to alternating current (AC) using solar inverters. Applications range from residential and commercial power generation to specialized uses such as powering boats, roadside emergency telephones, and electric cars. Residential systems typically generate 5-10 kWh, while commercial systems can produce several hundred kilowatts, making solar energy a versatile and sustainable solution for diverse energy needs.
